Combat Robotics at Cornell is an undergraduate engineering club focused on designing and building innovative combat robots that will battle other robots at competitions. Our team was newly founded in October of 2019 to fill a niche in the engineering student organizations on campus — a competitive robotics team. Cornell scientists develop new material to give robots more sensitive touch. Developed by PhD student Patricia Xu, at Cornell's Organic Robotics Lab, the "sensory network" - also dubbed "optical lace" - is said to be similar to the human biological nervous system.

The Shepherd lab at Cornell University is a recognized authority in the field of Soft Robotics.

We also seek to redefine how people view robots and their potential uses. Cornell Cup Robotics is a student run organization at Cornell University that designs, manufactures, and creates innovative robotics oriented projects. Over 80 Cornell students work to create dynamic projects that bolster the ingenuity of embedded technologies. The robotics minor covers the fundamentals of designing, building and programming robots, and in addition requires students to dive deeper in a specific area of robotics. Requirements: 1) Six distinct courses including at least three from Group A and three from a single category within Group B, must be completed. The Sportsman Robot Team is dedicated to creating innovative combat-style robots with autonomous features.

Robotics at Cornell spans various subareas, including perception, control, learning, planning, and human-robot interaction. We work with a variety of robots such as aerial robots, home and office assistant robots, autonomous cars, humanoids, evolutionary robots, legged robots, snake robots and more.
